Our colleague Carlos del Castillo, a journalist specializing in Technology and Digital Rights, received this Friday the 2025 Communication Award from the Spanish Data Protection Agency for "his joint work on publications addressing privacy challenges in the era of artificial intelligence, research, technological surveillance and citizen defense," highlighted by the public institution at the awards ceremony. Del Castillo's works "address, among other topics related to the visible and sensitive risks of generative AI, the use of biometrics and its relationship with data protection, or the impact of social networks on minors," also highlighted by the AEPD.
