# "Red Shirts" in Gen Z Perception: A Turning Point Inside the Home—Why Is This History Silent? Prachatai surveyed the memories and experiences of Gen Z people (those born between 1997–2012), including descendants of both "red shirts" and "yellow shirts," asking how they perceived red shirts in childhood, whether that perception changed as they grew up, and what observations student activists from the 2020 "Breaking the Ceiling" protest movement have about the red shirts' role in the new generation's mobilization. A key finding: on average, Gen Z has very limited awareness of red shirts.
