A relative lull reigns this Saturday, August 3 in the eastern part of the capital of Rutshuru territory, after a day of clashes between the M23 rebels supported by Rwanda, and the Wazalendo militias. These fights took place on Friday, August 2, on the Kiwanja-Ishasha road, in the Bwisha chiefdom, while a 15-day humanitarian truce, initiated by the United States of America, expired on the evening of August 3. Sources report that several villages in the cluster Binza came under the control of the M23 rebels. These villages include Ngwenda, Nyabanira, Kasave, Kiseguro, Katwiguru, and Kisharo, located between 15 and 30 km from the city of Kiwanja, on the Kiwanja-Ishasha road.
