He is an economist, graduated from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), where he also earned a master's degree; he was a university professor at UBA and UCES; he is co-author of the book Industrial Development: Recovery, Slowdown, and Challenges for Development in the 21st Century, along with Bernardo Kosacoff and Fernando Grasso; he was executive director of the Argentine Industrial Union (UIA); and he is the founder and director of the think tank I+D
