Srinagar, Jun 23: Security officials on Tuesday briefed the Parliamentary Standing Committee on External Affairs about border protection measures and the preparedness of security forces following the success of Operation Sindoor last year. The committee, headed by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, is on a four-day study visit to Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh to review strategic security and foreign policy matters, including India’s relations with Pakistan and China. Committee member Rajiv Shukla said the interaction with Army and defence officials focused on the security situation along the borders, operational preparedness and future challenges.
