Hundreds of devotees, predominantly Kashmiri Pandits, arrived at the revered Mata Kheer Bhawani shrine in Tulmulla on Sunday ahead of the annual Mela Kheer Bhawani, which will be observed on Monday amid elaborate security and administrative arrangements. The devotees, many of them migrant Kashmiri Pandits, travelled from Jammu in a fleet of buses and private vehicles after leaving on Saturday morning to participate in one of the largest and most significant religious gatherings of the Kashmiri Pandit community. Nestled beneath towering Chinar trees in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, the historic shrine of Mata Ragnya Devi witnessed a steady influx of pilgrims throughout the day.
