North Korea's Kim Jong Un observed sea trials of a newly repaired warship and pledged to accelerate development of a nuclear-armed navy, according to state media. The demonstration took place ahead of a visit by Chinese leader Xi Jinping.

Three commercial tankers were attacked by drones in the Black Sea near Turkey's northern coast, including the James II and the Altura and Velora, which were conducting a ship-to-ship operation at the time. The attacks occurred approximately 50 miles north of the Turkeli Area.
