The VC's existing Romanian portfolio includes OptiComm.ai, an AI startup focused on predictive commerce that secured EUR 500,000 in backing from Fil Rouge and TechAngels Romania syndicate investors. A Fil Rouge venture partner noted that while Romanian founders possess strong technical skills and ambition, many lack business experience and product-market thinking, though this gap with Western ecosystems is expected to narrow over time.
