Jammu, May 09: In a significant breakthrough in an armed assault case in a Katra hotel, the Police in Reasi district, while conducting an inter-state operation, apprehended six accused, including two juveniles, from Haryana. “A team of Police Station Katra arrested 4 accused persons besides it also apprehended 2 Children in Conflict with Law (CICL) from the state of Haryana, in an inter-state operation conducted under the supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Reasi Mukund Tibrewal, thus achieving a breakthrough by successfully cracking a recent armed assault case reported at RK Palace Hotel, JIJ Chowk, Katra,” Police said. According to Police on May 2, 2026, a group of persons armed with sharp-edged weapons forcibly entered RK Palace Hotel and criminally assaulted one Jaswinder Singh alias Sundri, who sustained serious injuries during the attack.

SIA Kashmir attaches property of PoJK-based LeT operative in narco-terror case Srinagar, May 06: In a significant action against narco-terror networks operating in Jammu & Kashmir, the State Investigation Agency (SIA) Kashmir today attached immovable property belonging to a Pakistan-occupied Jammu & Kashmir (PoJK)-based operative of the proscribed terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), who is involved in a major narco-terror case being investigated by the agency. As per the statement, the action pertains to Case FIR No. 03/2023 of Police Station ANTF, initially registered by the Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) and subsequently transferred to SIA Kashmir for specialised investigation in view of the larger terror financing and cross-border narco-terror ramifications emerging during investigation.
