The African Union (AU) promises a vaccine against Ebola Bundibugyo (BDBV) by the end of 2026, writes AFP. Ebola Bundibugyo is a rare and highly lethal variant of the Ebola virus that causes viral hemorrhagic fever. It has a mortality rate of between 30 and 50 percent, and occurs mainly in Uganda and Congo, writes Norwegian Health Informatics (NHI).
