The non-profit OpenAI Foundation has announced $250 million in grants, partnerships and in-house projects to support workers and economies facing the consequences of the spread of artificial intelligence technologies, Reuters reports. The funds will be spent on researching the impact of AI on the labor market, helping people and communities already losing jobs, as well as finding new ways to distribute the economic benefits of AI more equitably. In its statement, the fund stressed that there is less and less time to develop solutions, and the cost of an error will be huge.
