Italian tennis star Jannik Sinner won the Rome Masters 1000 championship, defeating Norwegian Casper Ruud 6-4, 6-4 in the final. The 24-year-old world number 1 became the first Italian man to win the title since Adriano Panatta in 1976, and only the second player in history after Novak Djokovic to complete a full Masters 1000 calendar sweep in less than three years.
