Baramulla, June 27 : A man was killed after an old unexploded shell detonated near Asha Post in the Sumli Wali Dhok area near Gulmarg in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday afternoon, officials said. A senior police officer told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the explosion occurred when the victim was allegedly handling the old shell. The officer said the exact nature of the explosive device and the circumstances leading to the blast are yet to be officially confirmed.
