An Ebola outbreak spreading rapidly in conflict-affected eastern Democratic Republic of Congo has prompted Norway to pledge 15 million kroner to international Red Cross efforts. The response targets the DR Congo and Uganda while strengthening preparedness in neighboring countries, as weak health systems and vulnerable populations increase the risk of rapid transmission.
