<p>Ryan Poles is out as <a class="Link" href="https://chicago.suntimes.com/bears" target="_blank" >Bears</a> general manager, and Vince Vaughn is in.</p><p>That's the comedic premise of EA Sports' trailed for the upcoming Madden 27 video game that features Bears quarterback <a class="Link" href="https://chicago.suntimes.com/bears/2025/08/31/why-do-so-many-people-hate-bears-qb-caleb-williams-he-answers-exactly-that-question" >Caleb Williams</a> on the cover. Williams and Vaughn shot parts of the four-minute video at Halas Hall, including a scene in which Vaughn pushes a "Previous GM" nameplate off the desk and replaces it with his own.</p><p>"My first decision: Lock down my franchise QB," Vaughn said leading into a scene in which he negotiates a contract extension with Williams followed by a montage of game play.</p><p>Vaughn also introduced a new nickname for Williams: "Permafrost." It's a veiled joke about the legal battle over him trying to trademark the nickname Iceman.</p><p>Williams gave an odd look at the camera as Vaughn said, "We've done the focus groups, we've done the straw polls. They love it.
