Banihal, June 14: Traffic congestion persisted on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) for the second consecutive day on Sunday, causing significant inconvenience to commuters and transporters in the Ramban-Banihal sector. Traffic officials said the disruption was triggered after two trucks developed mechanical faults, leading to long queues of vehicles and delays in movement along the highway. They said traffic police personnel remained on the ground throughout the day and worked tirelessly to clear the congestion and restore normal traffic flow.
