Bernstein has warned that India risks an "AI blackout" if it remains dependent on foreign AI models, urging the country to develop its own sovereign AI stack and a homegrown equivalent of DeepSeek. The brokerage said relying on overseas LLMs and data-centre services could leave India vulnerable to geopolitical and export-control restrictions.
