Government Committed to Transparent Governance: Showkat Mir Srinagar, June 27:   Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) Provincial President Kashmir, Showkat Ahmad Mir on Sunday said that despite operating under the limitations of a Union Territory and in the absence of restored statehood, the Omar Abdullah-led government has delivered “transparent, people-centric and accountable governance” over the past one and a half years. Addressing a party meeting at the NC headquarters, Mir said the government is working to fulfil its election manifesto commitments while focusing on sustainable development, economic progress, social welfare and long-term stability in Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting also discussed organisational matters, public grievances, developmental works and upcoming party programmes.
