Russia's agricultural watchdog, Rosselkhoznadzor, has announced restrictions on dairy product imports from Armenia, effective July 27. The agency cited concerns over the alleged use of milk from infected livestock and the purchase of raw materials from third countries, despite assurances from Armenian veterinary services. This move is part of a broader trend of import restrictions imposed by Moscow on various Armenian goods, including flowers, vegetables, fruits, and mineral water, which Armenia views as a trade war. In response, Armenia is actively seeking to redirect its exports towards the European Union, which has proposed eliminating tariffs on many Armenian goods.
