Over sixteen months, comrades from State Security collected thousands of reports on a seventy-year-old pensioner from Poděbrady. In the mid-1980s, they deployed dozens of agents who monitored him almost everywhere, read his mail, and wiretapped his telephone. Every day they reported even insignificant details such as: "The subject stayed at home and in the garden all day." They documented in detail the life of the pensioner, a World War II hero and parachutist, General Major Rudolf Krzák.
