Srinagar, Jul 17: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has directed all medical colleges and institutions under its ambit to immediately complete the implementation and integration of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM)-compliant Health Management Information System (HMIS), warning that failure to comply could invite regulatory action by the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB). In a communication issued by NMC on Friday, the Commission said all medical colleges are required under the Minimum Standard Requirements (MSR) regulations to install HMIS in their attached or associated hospitals and integrate it with the ABDM-HMIS platform maintained by the National Health Authority (NHA). It stated that the system is intended to enable real-time monitoring of medical education standards, availability of clinical material, and health record linkage through ABHA IDs.
