Ganderbal, Jun 16: Senior Congress leader Dr Karan Singh on Tuesday paid obeisance at the revered Kheer Bhawani Temple at Tulmulla in Ganderbal district and offered prayers for peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. Dr Singh joined devotees, including members of the Kashmiri Pandit community, at the shrine ahead of the annual Kheer Bhawani Mela, which will be observed on June 22 and is expected to draw thousands of pilgrims. The Kheer Bhawani Mela, held on Jyeshtha Ashtami, is one of the most significant religious events for Kashmiri Pandits and is widely regarded as a symbol of communal harmony in the Valley.
