All Indian Congress Committee (AICC) president Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday suspended the primary membership of two AICC members from J&K for, what it was described as, “their anti-party activities in the state”, with immediate effect. “The Congress president has approved the suspension of Mohd Anwar Bhat and Bashir Ahmed Khan, AICC members from J&K from the primary membership of the Indian National Congress, with immediate effect, on account of their anti-party activities in the state,” read an official statement issued by member secretary, DAC Tariq Anwar.
