As South Africa marks fifty years since the Soweto Uprising of 1976, this article reflects on the historical significance of June 16 and challenges the nation to move beyond commemoration to actively ensure today's youth are heard, included, equipped, and empowered for a future vastly different from the one their predecessors faced.
