Event highlights efforts to preserve , promote literary heritage Srinagar, July 1: The Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (J&KAACL) on Wednesday organised a grand literary function to release the Kashmiri book – ‘Miyane Wachik Kotar’ authored by noted writer Bashir Arif at Tagore Hall here. The event witnessed the participation of eminent scholars, writers, poets, critics, academicians, students and lovers of Kashmiri literature, reflecting the Academy’s continued commitment to the promotion and preservation of the region’s rich literary heritage. The function was presided over by Prof M Zaman Azurdah, while eminent Kashmiri scholar, literary critic and former Head of the Department of Kashmiri, University of Kashmir, Prof Shafi Shouq, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
