Srinagar, June 16: Postgraduate (PG), DNB and Diploma doctors in Jammu & Kashmir have launched a peaceful protest over the non-payment of salaries for the past six months, despite continuing to provide healthcare services across hospitals in the Union Territory. Among the affected institutions are District Hospital (DH) Pulwama and Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Shopian, where postgraduate, DNB and Diploma doctors have also not received their stipends for the last six months. The doctors said they have been working day and night, treating patients and fulfilling their duties, while facing severe financial hardships due to the prolonged delay in salary disbursement.
