Rajouri, Jun 11:  The crisis-like situation due to forest fires in Rajouri is deepening further, with more than half a dozen forest areas engulfed in flames in the last twenty-four hours, causing more damage of green gold. A major forest fire situation emerged in the DassalMehari area of Rajouri town after a massive forest fire broke out in the city forest during late evening hours on Wednesday, causing extensive damage to forest resources and raising concerns over wildlife loss. The forest area, located just around four kilometres from Rajouri district headquarters, witnessed sudden flames on Wednesday evening which spread rapidly, engulfing a large portion of the forest within a short span of time.
