With the annual Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra set to commence on July 3, the district administration, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), and executing agencies have intensified road repair and maintenance works along National Highway-44 to ensure smooth and safe movement of pilgrims. Repair and maintenance works are being carried out at several vulnerable locations between Nashri and Banihal in Ramban district. According to Senior Superintendent of Police, Traffic (National Highway), Raja Adil Hamid Ganai, the ongoing works between Ramban and Banihal are aimed at ensuring hassle-free movement of yatris and other commuters during the pilgrimage.
