The European Union has begun enforcing tariffs on small parcels from Chinese e-commerce platforms like Temu, Shein, and AliExpress, ending a tariff exemption that had made these goods extremely affordable for European consumers. While EU retailers welcome the price increases, they argue the measure does not go far enough to address competitive disadvantages against the platforms.
