Sopore, Jun 29: Amid the prevailing heatwave, residents of several localities in Sopore town have voiced serious concern over frequent and prolonged unscheduled power outages, saying the erratic electricity supply has severely disrupted daily life and caused immense hardship to people from all walks of life. Residents from Takiyabal, Sheikh Sahab, Mahrajpora, Teliyan, and several adjoining areas said they have been experiencing repeated power interruptions for the past several days, with electricity remaining unavailable for long hours without any prior notice. They alleged that the unscheduled outages have become a daily occurrence, leaving households, shopkeepers, students, and patients to struggle in the sweltering summer conditions.
