Banihal, June 28: The Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Banihal has constituted a committee to inquire into allegations of canvassing, solicitation and unauthorized influence upon patients within and around the premises of Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Banihal. The order was issued following a complaint alleging that some persons associated with private medical shops, diagnostic laboratories and other healthcare establishments were allegedly indulging in canvassing and influencing patients at the hospital premises. As per the order, the matter was referred to the Block Medical Officer (BMO) Banihal for verification, who submitted a preliminary report indicating the need for a detailed fact-finding inquiry into the allegations.
