Belgrade police chief Veselin Milić has been arrested for aiding and abetting aggravated murder, marking a dramatic escalation of institutional crisis following 18 months of student protests, documented police brutality incidents, and use of sound cannons. Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić defended the police response to the disappearance of a person at a Belgrade restaurant in the Senjak district, stating that officers began investigating upon receiving the initial report.
