Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić defended the police response to the disappearance of a person at a Belgrade restaurant in the Senjak district, stating that officers began investigating upon receiving the initial report. The case led to the arrest of 10 suspects, including three police officers and Belgrade police chief Veselin Milić.

The murder case in Senjak could delay the quick elections during the summer, because no ruling party wants to go to the elections with the discovery of cooperation between security services and crime, although SNS voters trust the propaganda machine "for brainwashing" of the president of the state, Aleksandar Vucic.
