Brazilian authorities arrested digital influencer and lawyer Deolane Bezerra at her luxury home in Barueri, São Paulo, as part of Operation Vernix, a large-scale investigation into money laundering by the First Command of the Capital (PCC) criminal organization. The operation resulted in asset seizures exceeding $327 million, six preventive arrest warrants, and seizure of 17 vehicles and four properties, with investigations extending to Italy, Spain, and Bolivia.
