A Turkish court ruled that Canan Kaftancıoğlu, former Istanbul Provincial Chairman of the opposition CHP party, must attend mandatory hearings in her trial on charges of insulting President Erdoğan. The hearing was rescheduled to September 15 after her initial absence.

Gürsel Tekin, who separated from his position as CHP Istanbul Provincial Chairman after an absolute nullity decision following his appointment as a trustee, claimed that Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu will announce the new Executive Board this weekend. Claiming that Kılıçdaroğlu has documents and audio recordings in his possession, Tekin announced that there will be participations in the CHP from different parties.
