Association cites delayed reimbursements, mounting dues Announces de-empanelment from July 1 Mansoor Peer Srinagar, Jun 9: The Ayushman Bharat–SEHAT scheme in Jammu and Kashmir is facing a major challenge as private hospitals and dialysis centres have announced plans to de-empanel from the scheme from July 1, citing mounting unpaid dues and persistent delays in reimbursement. The J&K Private Hospitals and Dialysis Centres Association (JKPHDA) on Monday announced its proposed de-empanelment from the Ayushman Bharat–SEHAT Scheme with effect from July 1, 2026, alleging non-payment of approved claims and non-compliance with National Health Authority (NHA) guidelines. "The non-payment of legitimate claims is placing significant strain on healthcare institutions across Jammu and Kashmir and affecting their ability to sustainably deliver quality healthcare services to beneficiaries," a spokesperson of the association said.
