According to PNAD-Contínua data, released this Thursday (28) by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), the unemployment rate stood at 5.8% in the quarter ending in April, a decrease of 0.8 percentage points (p.p.) compared to the same quarter in 2025, when it was 6.6%.
