A Greenville attorney, Sheria Clarke, has advanced in the nomination process for a federal judge vacancy after the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee voted 15-7 to approve her nomination by President Trump. If confirmed, Clarke would become the sixth racial minority seated on the U.S. District bench in South Carolina over the past half century.
