An Austrian court on Thursday sentenced a 21-year-old man to 15 years in prison after he admitted to planning a failed jihadist attack on a concert by American singer Taylor Swift in 2024. Three of Swift's concerts in Vienna in 2024 were canceled after police announced the discovery of a plan to carry out a suicide bombing inspired by ISIS that would have targeted one of them. The White House stated at the time that the United States had provided Austria with intelligence information to help foil a jihadist attack targeting Swift's concerts.
