A wild Andean condor chick was successfully born in El Almorzadero páramo in Santander, Colombia, marking the first time conservation teams monitored an entire reproductive cycle from courtship through hatching. This breakthrough follows failed breeding attempts in 2022–2023 and complements a captive breeding program that recently produced Cattleya, a genetically significant chick born in Cundinamarca.
