Fil Rouge Capital, a venture capital firm, has announced EUR 300,000 in pre-seed funding for eYou, a European social media platform that launched publicly in Bucharest this week. The VC's existing Romanian portfolio includes OptiComm.ai, an AI startup focused on predictive commerce that secured EUR 500,000 in backing from Fil Rouge and TechAngels Romania syndicate investors. A Fil Rouge venture partner noted that while Romanian founders possess strong technical skills and ambition, many lack business experience and product-market thinking, though this gap with Western ecosystems is expected to narrow over time.
