KINGSTON, Jamaica — World champion Oblique Seville was among the heat winners in the first round of the men’s 100m on Thursday’s opening day of the JAAA national championships at the National Stadium, running 10.09 seconds (-1.0m/s). Seville hardly broke a sweat as he ran away from Rasheed Foster, who ran 10.30 seconds, and Michael Campbell, who ran 10.39 seconds, both also advancing to Friday’s semi-finals. World Indoor bronze medalist Ackeem Blake also advanced with 10.11 seconds (-1.9m/s), as well as Nishion Ebanks 10.22 seconds (-1.0m/s), teenager Gary Card, who won his heat in 10.33 seconds (-2.7m/s) and Travis Williams 10.23 seconds(-1.0m/s).
