Spain's National Court concluded that Colombian singer Shakira was not a tax resident in Spain during 2011, ordering the tax authority to refund her more than €55 million and annulling previously imposed sanctions. The court found that tax authorities could not prove Shakira exceeded the 183-day residency threshold, documenting only 163 days in the country while she was touring internationally.
