Afghanistan has begun construction on a standard cargo truck terminal at Hairatan Junction in Balkh province, with private-sector investment of over 850 million afghanis. The facility, to be completed within two years, will include administrative buildings, repair shops, hotels, and cargo handling zones intended to improve conditions for drivers and facilitate trade with neighboring countries.
