Sixteen-year-old Nematullah, a ninth-grade student, has put aside his books and schoolwork and is waiting at the National Blood Bank for a plasma transfusion. Hemophilia has shaped his life differently, as a deficiency of Factor IX in his blood leaves him facing daily uncertainty and concern.
