Two Officers Dead after State Police Ambushed in Reynosa, Tamaulipas By "El Huaso" for Borderland Beat Yesterday afternoon, two police officers were killed and another was wounded after a vehicle chase and shootout with Los Metros in southern Reynosa, Tamaulipas.  The shooting occured around 6:30 p.m. in Valle Soleado, where members of the Fuerza Civil were conducting a patrol when they were attacked by armed men. One officer died at the scene, with two others taken to the hospital, where the second officer died of his injuries.  Criminals burned a vehicle in a the nearby Fraccionamiento San Fernando neighborhood, likely as a distraction to aid their escape.
