MANCHESTER, Jamaica — Detectives in Manchester and St Elizabeth are following a sequence of the events linking Saturday’s fiery crash on the Williamsfield leg of Highway 2000 in Manchester to a break-in incident at a business establishment in Red Bank near Junction in St Elizabeth. Police theorise that a Toyota Noah which burst into flames killing two occupants when it crashed on the highway in the wee hours was used as the getaway vehicle by thieves who had targeted the St Elizabeth establishment. They reportedly stole $1.5 million in cash, a quantity of alcohol beverages, cigarettes, phone cards valued at $2.5 million, a cash register, among other valuables.
