<p>Charges are pending for a man who allegedly shot a woman, critically hurting her, late Wednesday in the Kenwood neighborhood.</p><p>The 46-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man were inside a home at about 11:30 p.m. in the 4600 block of South Ellis Avenue when an argument they were embroiled in escalated, Chicago police said.</p><p>That's when the man pulled out a gun and shot the woman, striking her in the face. </p><p>The woman was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition.</p><p>The man fled to another location, where officers took him into custody and recovered a gun.
