The two-story market will be built beneath Herat's central road, in front of the provincial hospital, and is expected to be completed within six months. Mohammad Ayub Saif-ul-Jihad, Herat Municipality's Director of Technical and Professional Affairs, said: "The underground pedestrian underpass project in front of the provincial hospital will be built over an area of more than 2,000 square meters, measuring 49 meters in length and 42 meters in width.
