The other was that the <a href="https://www.adn.com/nation-world/2026/06/11/el-nino-is-here-and-scientists-fear-itll-be-costly-with-heat-floods-droughts-and-fires/" target="_blank" rel="" title="https://www.adn.com/nation-world/2026/06/11/el-nino-is-here-and-scientists-fear-itll-be-costly-with-heat-floods-droughts-and-fires/">El Niño warming cycle</a> is officially here and is expected to be at historic strength.
